Lindenow Fjord
July 3 - Lindenow Fjord
41° and partly sunny
Double adventures this morning starting very early. First we took the zodiacs across the fjord and hiked up past a beautiful waterfall for a closer look at some glaciers - past and present. There was a variety of plant life including some succulents.
Then we mustered for an exciting helicopter ride. We flew into the fjord at about 2500' and then up to 6000' for a spectacular panoramic view of the mountains, glaciers, lakes and the fjord.
Following our afternoon recap and briefing for tomorrow, we enjoyed afternoon tea as we sailed to Prince Christian Sund. A 100 km cruise through the sound and across the southern tip of Greenland is planned for this evening.
Prince Christian Sounds was a wonderful cruise with waterfalls and glaciers on both sides. The peaks rose steeply out of the sound as we cruises at 12 knots. We saw two seals sitting in ice so that was very fun. After dinner we went up to the flight deck for hot chocolate chocolate and Bailey’s to finish off a wonderful day.
We are starting to upload our. Ideas to a google drive. The blog doesn’t allow big files. Hopefully you can view the videos without too much trouble

The water color is amazing!
